    Full Diagnostic Trouble Codes List

Dealer quoted £60 to change it, gave me a lift back to work, changed it while I put my feet up, then picked me up a few hours later. Said it was a pig to get to. So all is good again - for now!

    Full Diagnostic Trouble Codes List

Thanks Chris. I had found that but it is for the M113 (AMG?) petrol engine. Mine is the (OM642?) V6 oil burner. Think I know where the sensor is, buried on the rear LHS of the engine. Does not look at all easy to reach. Cleared the code and it has been fine since - but for how long? Thinking if...

    Full Diagnostic Trouble Codes List

Thaks Chris, getting to the point where I need a good Indie  Love this car to bits but the constant niggles are wearing me down. Ran a Lotus for 10 years before the Merc and never had a glitch - hard to believe I know!

    Full Diagnostic Trouble Codes List

Dreaded CEL today  Code P0335 - crankshaft position sensor :fail Anyone know where this is located on the V6 Diesel and how difficult it is to change? Don't really want to give the stealer yet another 200 quid!

5G-Tronic and 7G-Tronic: Pros and Cons

Trouble is it will change up regardless, and before the red line at that. Not really a manual option is it? And you never really know what gear it is in. AMG's give a true manual option, they will just keep going, in whatever gear you select, up to the rev limiter. Like a true manual gearbox...

5G-Tronic and 7G-Tronic: Pros and Cons

Is there any way to make the 7g in manual mode actually work as a manual? i.e. If I tell it to go into 3rd just go there, and stay there until I say change! The thing is so infuriating that it may as well not have paddles.

    heated seats

Good luck - my CLK did not have the wiring harness. And the OE heating elements are stiched into the seat coverings so not so easy to fit aftermarket and get OE results. Not impossible tho' ;) Why anyone would spec Napa leather and not heated seats is beyond me but each to their own I guess!

    Tyre wear

MB also recommended I change them at 3mm, only £250 a pop to you kind Sir they said. I reckon I'm getting less than 1000 miles per mm so that means circa 5k life  - bonkers!

    Tyre wear

18000 is a mere dream for me. Try 8000 on a pair of Rear Michelin Pilot sports which are now toast  And no, I'm not into smoking them!

Do these wheels/tyres fit?? Read this first! Offset/fitment answers within..

Anyone know if 17" wheels will clear the front brake calipers on my 08 CLK 320 CDI sport which has 18" AMG wheels as standard. Looking to get a set with Winter tyres. Got away without last year but 2years in a row with almost no Snow might be asking a lot! Sorry if this in the wrong thread.

What tyres for the rear of my CLK55? Vredesteins ? Uniroyal? Goodyears?

What sort of mileage are you guy's getting out of a set of rears? I'm a little alarmed at the rate of wear I'm seeing on Michelins fitted to my 320CDI - only 1.4mm legally left after less than 10k  And no, I'm not in the habit of lighting them up!

    Heated seats... coming soon!

Pads DK supplied me were 435mm long. OK for the back and the family jewels but do not run the full length of the base. DK said they were the only ones they now stock. The ones from Nolden are way too long and a little cheaper if you do not want the harness. The MB harness I have is part number...

    CLK Cupholder?

Cup holder was an option. Like me  you have something for which I am yet to find a use! Anything you put in there disappears into the depths where normal human fingers can't reach! On the positive side I have heard of folk with the cup holder option spilling coffeee or whatever over...

    Heated seats... coming soon!

Worth noting that the pads now supplied by DK (real nice people to deal with BTW, or at least Rob and Tara are) are not the same as shown is this excellent thread. They are a lot shorter. Seems they had some warranty issues with the previous ones. Took a bit of tracking down but I've located...

Would appreciate those part numbers if you have them. Took a gamble, ordered what seemed to be them, arrived today but alas WIS :fail
