Our car is at Stockport. I would hope that there's not more than 1 knackered C43 there so I guess that's our car. How come you managed to get a photo of the damage? We still haven't had the engineer's report yet!

Thanks all. Mercedes UK suggested contacting the motor ombudsman, which we have and they are gathering information. They have said this process may take 6 months! They also suggested the sale of goods act would be the route to go down and will be looking towards the dealer. In the meantime...

The dealership did test the fuel to check diesel hadn't been put in (it definitely hadn't!) but I don't know if they analysed the petrol. It was filled up at Costco, which was incredibly busy and if there was an issues with their fuel I would imagine it would be known about.

We did contact the finance company but they were totally disinterested and offered no help or stipulation

I have a 2018 C43 convertible and a 2013 C63 507 estate. Both fantastic cars. In the dry, always the C63 - the acceleration is brutal and it feels much faster that the C43. Taken it to Oulton Park many times and dry roadholding is excellent. However, in the wet, always the C43. The wet road...

C63 507 at Oulton Park - 89 miles at 7.7 mpg = 11.6 gallons. I reckon that is about 92 pints of fuel in under 2 hours!

Thanks! I did have paint issues, which MB Manchester sorted out with a full respray and also new black trim around the windscreen which had started to flake. The alloys had also corroded around the hub and they replaced those too.

That is interesting - I didn't realise mine might be the only fire opal 507 estate in the UK!
