Royal Navy - Caribbean - your thoughts?

Can agree with you there. Procurement has been the biggest waste of taxpayers money ever with some of the hugest White Elephant's you will ever see (or not as the case now is!) Meanwhile, at the end that matters (serving and fighting soldiers, sailors and airmen) morale is at an all-time low...

    W210 running warm!

Any idea how much coolant you've replaced? Was the system bled when the thermostat was changed? (thinking possible air lock/air pockets here) I suppose there is a chance that the head gasket is in it's early stage of blowing.

c36 question hard one i bet

Certainly sounds like a previous owners attempt at keeping spare batteries for their key fob! Personally, just keep mine in the arm-rest....

W211- Bop sound when i first drive away

Is your car fitted with SBC? That makes all manners of noises!

    Key Problem (sticking)

Ooh yes, forgot about the VAT increase and the inevitable price rise that comes from that! :thumb:

    Key Problem (sticking)

Ensure when you pay that you take £200 off the final price - this is the cost of a new key! I take it you didn't but from an MB specialist then? Recoding the key, my butt....

Is this cannibalistic or just crazy?

Sleeper? That was soooo strange! lol

    EBC Brakes

Since most of the cars braking is done by the front, I wouldn't bother with drilled/slotted discs on the back. Stick to standard with Greenstuff pads.

    Some git broke my mirror...

If you have dimming mirrors, they only work on rear-view and driver side mirror. There are many MB breakers round the country (try a Search on here) who may well be able to provide you with a reasonable replacement, even if you have to get the backing colour-matched.

    Unleaded in a diesel!

But as the OP said, when the last thing on your mind is fuelling your car, even when you are, it's all too easy! It's just one of those awful things that many of us suffer from - not thinking about the job in hand. I must admit (hope I'm not tempting fate here!) but I have never mis-fuelled...

diff oil change yes or no?

You are very welcome to your opinion! Mine is based on fact as I am a Mechanical Engineer. Not sure what MB would recommend (let's face it, until very recently all the autoboxes were 'sealed' for life' and lo and behold, they now require at least a one-time change at 40-odd thousand). But...

Is this cannibalistic or just crazy?

How can it be cannibalistic? You're not eating another human! Not everyone's 'taste' but there you go!!

    Unleaded in a diesel!

When Unleaded was introduced, the fillers were made deliberately narrower so that cross-fuelling between 4 Star and Unleaded didn't happen. Of course, we now have Diesel and Unleaded more readily used and so the lesser of two evils would have to be decided first - which is worse, petrol in...

    Pulled over by the feds

You'll have to contact the Police in the area the 'crime' happened. Unfortunately, it will probably mean your plate will have a marker for a while. My old C Class had something similar - I was pulled at least 6 different times by different forces. Think there was a cloned car driving around...

diff oil change yes or no?

Have you seen how much swarf is produced on a 'crunched' gearchange in a manual?? I would change the gearbox oil of a reasonably high mileage manual car - in fact, I plan to do it on my current car as it has 125k on the clock, it takes less than 2L of oil and will take me probably 1/2 hour...
