I didn't realise that thing needed to come off and drains are behind it too. Funny thing is water is drivers side, but will do it asap anyway. Its bad, its a lot of water. Now got electrical weirdness with warning lights randomly showing momentarily. Thanks very much for the advice.

Haven't driven the car for a couple of days, got in it today to find the drivers footwell now swimming in water. Checked all the windscreen drains very recently and all seem clear (water runs away no problem). Can't find where all this water is coming from. Any suggestions what to check next?
