I'm looking to buy a G Wagen - must be a manual diesel - lwb preferably. My budget would be 8,500 - 11,000. I see a few very clean ones on autotrader. does anyone here have one, i know they are a little thirsty, anyone have any idea of mpg in the diesel?

stranded unfortunately i live in the middle of nowhere and im not prepared to drive any great distance from home to the nearest mechanic with star in case i break down and have a no start (around 40 miles away) so its going to have to be trial and error, dont mind replacing old with new anyway...

im looking to buy the wooden centre console surround for the radio and climate control in my w210. its an amg and has xenons and heated seats, so if anyone of know where i could locate one itd be much appreciated.

thankfully, the only thing i checked the car thoroughly for was rust - guy had a lift in his lock up - car has none of the usual rust issues - when you have restored a 30 year old bmw 635csi, you become rust obsessed
