Had some new Vredestein Vorti fitted recently. Replaced Vredestein Sessanta. Both 265/35/18 Surprised at the difference in width - although these were unmounted. Didn't get a shot of them mounted side by side I guess when they are both fitted they are of a more similar width?!

Third shout for Event Tyres (mobile). I've bought & had fitted 16-20 tyres from them over the past 3 years.

This table Cross reference table: Car tyre tips - Pneus Online appears to state that it is "acceptable", but note that Mercedes standard setup seem to be up at the Maximum Tyre width per alloy width (as per this table) Also, with 245/45 tyres, car would ride 15mm-20mm higher.

My (E55) Manual states 265/35/18 (rear) for summer tyres (9 inch rims), and 245/40/18 all round for winter tyres (8 inch rims). If you do fit them, you should phone your insurance company to let them know (unless they are listed as a suitable fit / alternative in the manual)
