    2 Car Insurance

You are probably right ... however just read some bad news, I'm not covered if I take up modelling as a career ... bugger, I'll need to re-think my future!

    2 Car Insurance

I have to now confess ... the Fully Comp argument was always my understanding, but when someone seems quite so certain doubt creeps in. I am however ploughing through my (ridiculously long) insurance policy ~ I know, I'm meant to read these things before. Nothing yet, 15 down, about 50 pages...

    Bad celebrity pics

There is no way Britneys privates can be as repulsive as Mrs B's face.

    2 Car Insurance

Just to clear this up, yes, if you (under your own policy) are driving someone elses car, then your own insurance takes the third party hit. But, if the owner has FC insurance on the car, the owners insurers take the loss on the insured vehicle. In the same way as they would if that tree near my...

    2 Car Insurance

yes, but if the Car is insured fully comprehensive, then the car is insured regardless... the driver (or at least his insurers) cover the third party risk

    2 Car Insurance

Do each of the cars have separate owners/prinicipal driver? If so, then why doesn't each driver have their own insurance and can therefore drive all the other cars by default, no naming required. I had this discussion with my GF/s Father over Christmas who was naming everyone on his policies...

    Jet Skis

I used to take my (stand up) 650 pretty well anywehre, my favourite place was bridlington on the north east coast, but anywhere I could launch it I was happy with. I do remember once the Harbour Master at Lyme regis calling me back in through the harbour to say I couldn't use the harbour ...

Hurled in a police cell for kicking a football.

Hooray, another crime of the century resolved by our finest. Nice to see them using manpower in this efficient way. Hang on ....Gloucester has a higher than National average of crime rate, perhaps it's a new zero tolerance policy ... or God forbid they are spending too much time on things of...

    Speed Kills!!

Much like jumping out of the window of a high rise won't kill you ... but that rapid stop at the end will get you almost every time. As pedant mode is on .... technically speaking Tony Blair doesnt kill anyone either.

    Speed Kills!!

Although I have no doubt John's Mother is a perfectly charming lady I guess I should make an effort to sound less like her. Maybe/hopefully/possibly we all agree that some Speed cameras are a good thing, and some aren't (safe argument so far). However, what we will all be forced to agree on is...

    Speed Kills!!

Hang on, I'm confused now, are you just simply saying that speeding (in any form) does little harm. Speeding, (as has been stated) manifests itself in two guises, one where we step outside of the government imposed restriction and the other where we drive in excess of what is sensible ~ both...

    Is my car an import

As was previously stated, they are all 'imports' ... but the Eunos Roadster was/is a grey Import. One of my other cars is a grey import and it clearly states on the V5 "was registered/used overseas', but my German issue (same as the OP's) says no such thing and it was never an issue with my...

Happy New Year to you all

Just the mere mention of Knaresborough Castle took me way back, that was my schoolyard (one or two years ago) ... I think they turned one of the schools into a Police Station, as one was boys and the other was girls I assume they both went. Anyway, it was probably the best schoolyard in the land...

At the risk of making a fool of myself.....

Johns remark reminded me of an old joke. Yorkie says to his wife "Get your coat on" His wife replies "ooh, great are we going out?" Yorkie says "No, but I am and I'm turning the heating off" I guess the answer as to which is cheaper (turning on or turning off) is, it depends on the...

    Speed Kills!!

Your figures are a little conveniently presented and don't really reflect the data as presented. The 12% is where no other cause can be attributed, thats to say, one car speeding, one accident, one death, reading further the real figure where speeding may (or indeed may not) have been a...

At last - A total smoking ban is on its way.

Fantastic, an interesting lively debate, just what internet forums should be about. Which I suppose means it's just about to be locked. (Fred ~ Can't say I always agree with your views, but at least you make them enjoyable to read)

I'm well pi$$ed off with PIZZA HUT

Why you would wish to see anyone throwing such a riduculous tantrum, where the staff felt the need to shut the branch, God only knows. But if you have a real lust of such things, go to any City centre take-away late on a Saturday evening and you'll see no end of obnoxious behaviour.

I'm well pi$$ed off with PIZZA HUT

Shame the manager doesn't subscribe to this forum, it would be interesting to hear his take. Theres often this misconception (heavily witnessed in this thread) that as a customer we can act in anyway we damn well please, because 'we are the customer'. Playing devils advocate here ~ I'd have to...

    Broadband

Excellent advice and exactly what I have done .. however .. AOL have a terrible habit of blocking outgoing ports 25 & 587 from time to time making the sending of third party email (via outlook etc) virtually impossible. My vote goes for Supanet, which gives me an OK speed, static IP, UK based...

Corporation Street Manchester: The bollards that take no prisoners!1

Unlike the acutely aware Bus drivers and Postmen? Surely if its a 'pedestrian zone' it should be just that. Why don't they just enlist some snipers with high-powered rifles and be done with it. Whats next? ~ Land mines on double yellow lines?
