Let's assume I will consider 205 / 212 via approved program from Merc. There is plenty of 200 and 220 but not much more other options. Would that engines be reliable or potentially any problems sorted within a year of warranty? Or I am buying a time bomb?

Had similar symptoms in my CLS which I believe has same engine 320 CDI? Engine management light on and really only drivable below 40mph. Replacement on turbo helped. (actually I got the refurbished part in UK with 2 years warranty) Couple sensors which pop out in STAR were replaced as well...

I just checked MOT history and Nearside Front coil spring broken (2.4.C.1a) Offside Front coil spring broken (2.4.C.1a) were replaced last year and Nearside Rear brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (3.5.1i) is still in advisory.

I didn't know what that means so googled it and understand it's related with wheel alignment (correct me if I am wrong). Car drives smoothly and straight but I will check the wear on the tyres and add wheel alignment to the list. Tnx
