Thanks for the replies guys. Cant get it looked at till next Monday so god knows how I'm going to carry on with it like this. I was hoping it was something simple like pulling a fuse out or disconnecting something.

Thanks for your reply whitenemesis. Both sensor arms are attached and my local garage could find no error codes but they were only using a maxisys reader so maybe it needed the mercedes star to read it.
