I just don't think I could trust a car wash and in the past they have never properly cleaned all the dirt from the car. DIY all the way!

I thought all high end dealerships (MB, Audi, BMW etc) now take pictures of the vehicles when they come in for any work, ensuring any defects or damage are noted prior to starting any work. That's certainly what happens at my local Audi and local MB garage anyway.

As originally mentioned it all depends on how you will go about looking after it. I have a company car that was sent to the detailers the day I got it to ensure it was tip top ready for the 35k miles I will do in it each year. There are plenty of times I don't manage to do the 2 bucket method...

The engine does sound slightly agricultural on start up and at idle, but I have never really noticed mine whilst sitting in traffic... definitely not loud enough for it to be an issue at least.

As dan2014 said, why not try doing it yourself with plasti-dipping?

They're glued on, I have removed mine.

Ah that explains it :-) Is there any noise difference with the new exhaust? I'm thinking about doing the same change, but don't want any additional noise its just for the look really. Cheers...
