My engine runs rough on tick over fine top end just wondering does the crankcase breather pipe if broke cause rough idle plz help thankyou.

i have a coupe 2003 c180k se which is very strange it runs ok on high rev but on low rev its like kangeroo petrol and the engine does not sound right it is like it is hunting,chugging etc i can not see any obvious air leak etc some help would be very gratfull all comments please so i can try...

thats good i will go out and have a look soon i am so glad theres people like you out there that knows about engines? so this pipe causes rough idling etc then i am new to the mercs and i must say they feel smooth and very strong on the road also not bad on fuel do any one know the engine model...

thats great do these cars have a vent pipe under the air box pcv and how does the airbox come out looks complecated lol

please help i am in need of a maf as i have the engine fault light on. car is idling very lumpy fine on top end so going to try maf metre unless anyone got any othe ideas.

my car has just started ticking over like its hunting its ok when driving but when idling its rough any ideas would be great ?

Not sure about timing chain how would i check and would this cause the car to run ok with no problems like once up to 40mph and up

Ok thanks i was told it might be something to do with a pcv some kind of pipe or something under inlet manifold .do you think that would cause it.

rough idling hunting on tick over c180k se coupe 2003 car is ok when going to high speed , but when going slow it seems to go kangeroo style please can someone help give me some ideas. New spark plugs been fitted was wondering if maybe a pipe or something causing this thanks carl
