agree. most cars are probably at their best between half to two thirds of their top speed where the law allows. 110 for a c320 is a little over 2/3rds of the top speed, the other cars you seem to like really driving closer to their top speed than i would deem pleasant given engine noise...

is it wise to drive a car 6 hours non stop? i think stopping every 2hrs is a bit overkill but would normally want to stop for a bit at least every 3-4hrs

driving in snow is not that difficult, front drive, rear drive, all drive, if you are gentle with the car you will be fine.

the mercedes you so loved then, they aren't the cars they were alas. built to the price of a medium size house in the 80's and 90's, now they are built to a price a little more than a ford family saloon - same with all posh cars.

This sadly makes the cars we buy built and finished to a lesser standard. Fine for the 1st 3yrs but there are issues accross all German makes as they sell on this model with major mechanical issues you just didn't see 15 years back. I mean, BMW seem incapable of making a timing chain these days

they are, the e is a big c class and the cls a big posh c class. the f10 is based on the f01 7 series. it shows, its just the better car, inside and out. rides better, handles better, its better and i am not that into beemers
