Tried to do a timed run on an empty stretch of road that leads to a dead end in the sticks, away from any other cars with good visibility. The 32 should hit 60 in about 4.6 seconds but there's no way I can reach that ! First run the wheels just spun for the first 2-3 seconds and it was like 7...

We all hear about the 0-62 times(is this because of the 0-100km euro spec?)as being 4.2 sec but is there an official 0-60 time?I would imagine it would be 4 secs or possibly even 3.9 ish which is insane!!!Anybody got any figures or tested it on a FL A45?

As we all know, MB and every other manufacturers MPG figures are never realistic in the real world. It's made me wonder if the 0-60 (or 0-62) figures are ever achievable? I've never taken the trouble to time any of my cars. Wondering if anyone knows any facts. Discuss. :thumb: Ant

Hi Guys, Out of interest, what would you expect the 0-60 of a healthy W209 CLK55 convertible to be? Have never pulled a 0-60 in my car, normally just cruise around to be honest but thought today I would have a bash...... Cheers! Steve

Did anyone ever get to the bottom of the "mystery" of the 0-60 figures. I heard some sources saying 0-60 in 6.9 (like the W203) and other sources saying 7.7 secs.

Did a few 0-60 runs tonight with my trusty G-Tech. Best run was 5.23. My rear tyres are down to about 3mm, so I reckon with nice new sticky rubber on the back, I could probably get that down to 5.0 dead and, maybe with a bit of luck, break into the 4's. Cheers, Ian.

Can someone explain to me how these are judged? Yesterday, me and a mate sat in my w202 1.8 and did a standing start and timed to 60Mph, we did it twice and both times were around 8sec's. On the offical spec sheet, its listed as 13secs? Am I timing somthing wrong?
