My E-Class convertible sits on these 17" wheels with tyres with 5000 miles on them:
Mercedes alloy wheels | Genuine new 17" Mercedes 5 Twin Spoke | fits Mercedes E Class Saloon W212 | Alloy Wheels Direct Ltd
I am thinking about getting these and the new tyres:
Mercedes alloy wheels |...
My CLK430 has 17" wheels on as per information leaflet that came with the car.
Front - 225/45R17 91W 7.5JX17H2/ET37/ET35*
Back - 245/40R17 91W 8.5JX17H2/ET30*
What I would like to know please is, can I put the 18" wheels on and if so what rim size, tyre size and offset would I need
Has anyone moved from 17" to 18" wheels?
If so, how has this affected the ride, especially on pot holed, bumpy third world London roads?
Is there significantly more noise?
Presumably the handling improves?
Any other issues/downsides?
