280sl

Spotted a black 1971/72 K plate one of these today in North Kent. Anyone from here? Looked remarkably well kept as it floated passed me. No pictures I'm afraid as my phone is not capable.

A friend of mine is selling his own personal 280SL, I say "personal" because he owns his own independent MB garage. They repair cars but don't generally sell them, he tends to take customers cars home for testing so has no real use for this. It has 81,000 genuine miles with full service...

M110.986 2.8 engine from 280SL. Complete with everything, all ignition/fuel/electrical components, pump/filter, gearbox/torque converter etc. Recent cylinder head rebuild. New timing chain and tensioner, water pump, plugs, exhaust downpipe et al. Gearbox included. Really good, well cared...

Hi Its with huge regret i'm thinking of selling my 280SL. We are going to be building a house next year and the SL just isnt going to fit into our plans well, and of course some extra money will come in handy, so I'm open to sensible offers on it. It will come with a brand new 12 months...

A friend has taken on her late fathers 1982 280SL. The car needs welding to its sills, and possibly complete replacement of the sills. Can anyone recommend a good bodyshop in SW England?

Hi, My 1983 280SL (LHD) auto has developed a problem with gear shifting: When cold, she will happily shift 1>2>3 and back down 3>2>1 as normal. However once really warmed up (say 30mins) she will only shift 1>2 and back from 2>1. She will not shift up into 3rd. Any ideas or courses of action...

Hi i'm 50/50 on this, i liked the look on my CLK but not sure it will look right on my standard 80's roadster? should i fit the "slk official pedal" mod to my 1985 280SL? i know the gas pedal will require just using the rubber bit and some jiggery pokery but i guess will fit ok

Hi all, I've recently bought my first Mercedes, a 98 280sl. The other day I noticed the high level brake light in the boot lid isn't working. Any tips on sorting this problem? Is it easy to get access to remove the light? Many thanks Kev
