As the title states what would be a better option for a E320 cdi (w210).. would 10w40 cause any problems throughout the winter months?

Hi anyone tried the 20 litre tub from Vauxhall it works out at around £50 It's MB229.31 Not sure what brand it actually is. I normally use the green castrol at around £25 a tub so this works out much cheaper

Mobil 1 ESP 5w-30. A good deal at £41.59 for 5 litres (especially if the trade card deducts 10% at the checkout). I would bet the trade card discount will only apply if bought in-store. It's still a good deal. LINK.

I'm sorry if I'm opening an old debate about what engine oil is better,but to me isnt clear.Currently I'm using mobil 1 5w-40 and I'm thinking of replacing it with Mobil 1 ESP 5w-30.Is it a good idea? The car we are talking about is W203 2001 220 cdi with 170000 miles on the clock.

I seem to remember costco doing a 20l drum of Chevron oil (5w30) for next-to-nothing (£30 or so + vat). Has anyone been recently - do they still sell this? Does anyone remember if it was fully synthetic or part? (need to do 2 oil changes, and both cars want 7-8 litres of 5w30 fully synth...

I need 7 litres of 5W30 oil for the vanette... (and a filter)... Kwik fit don't seem to do their £20/£25 oil change anymore (at least, it's not on their site)... so I'm thinking of getting an OEM filter and the oil and doing it myself... Any idea where the cheapest oil I can get is...
