alarm or siren

hi, when i arm the alarm the indicators start to flash and stay flashing, but no sound from the siren? do they have 2 sirens ? one battery back up the other standard , one occasion it totally drained the car battery,stayed flashing over night ,had to jump start it, when i placed the booster...
