It's still dark, car was loaded yesterday and I only hope I haven't forgot something.
1,2,3,4 all in and we are ready to go. Sat nav estimates 1h45min to Folkestone and there are no reported accidents. Perfect. A406 A13 M25 M20 should be a nice ride at this time of a day...
Can anyone recommend a good annual insurance policy covering rental car collision and theft excesses, please?
As expected, Google turns up a number of options, but personal recommendation of a provider / policy would be appreciated.
Well, it's that time again.
My EE contract is up soon & they've sent me a new 'non contract mug' monthly bill twice as high as the expiring deal.
With unlimited LL calls, 1000 mins of mobile & line rental the best new deal I can find is with TalkTalk (shudders) & their SimplyBroadband deal -...

I appreciate that this is a Mercedes forum but I'm hoping some of you may have had experience of high annual mileage ptrol engined cars. My friend has test driven a 09 plate Peugeot 1.4 VTi Sport.

Just had an email from my local main dealer with this year's winter wheels and tyres offers - no use to me as I have them for my S204, but anyone thinking of getting them, ask your main dealer for a price! A couple of years ago I bought 16" wheels for my (then) S203 for £800, including fitting...
Just got back from the annual trip to the south of France and back and yes, I was done for speeding again.
This time it wasn't near an airport or ferry terminal but was about an hour south of Le Mans. I'd just set off on the last leg of the journey home and was deliberately tying to keep...
There was a small right up in one of the classic papers this week about an annual w123 day on August 26th,with an email address for more info, however when i tried to send an email it was returned saying address doesn't exist, does anyone on here have any more informtion,as being a new w123 owner...
i've read a fair few petrol V diesel threads & the general opinion seems to be if you're doing under 10k miles per year, petrol would be the better option.
i just wondered if anyone on here has any actual experience of lower mileage on a reasonably new diesel, perhaps under 2 years old...
Just thought you might be interested in the costs for the year excluding the car purchase of course.
Insurance was £380. (Nov 09 to Nov 10)
2 new rear tyres £460. (June 2010)
Service £428. (Nov 2010)
According to the car trip. I have done 7086miles since I first picked it...
Is it just me who pays out more than 1,000 pounds in maintenance/repairs each year?
My car's a '95 w124 e280 on 150k and can't be worth more than 1,500 quid.
I keep telling myself "this year it will be a couple of hundred.....":(
I've absolutely no mechanical ability at all, so DIY...
Spoke with John this afternoon. During the course of the conversation the Pilgrimage was mentioned. Given his current condition I was a little worried that he may have wanted to miss this year. After having my ears burnt I agreed to post this.
Usual rules apply. Max 30 people.
Mrs. W has...
I didnt take anything like as many as I normally do - so my apologies to anyone I missed :)

I'd like to ask if there is any chance to do 5th Annual Pilgrimage at your crib?
I really enjoyed every minute today and hope to see you next year!
Also, it would be a pleasure for me to be any help!
Anyone else for the next year?
Many thanks in advance!
Its January already. Time to test the waters with the 4th Annual Pilgrimage. Naturally will have to speak with Glojo (John) and his better half. So anyone up for this? (silly question time). Proposed date to be notified but as usual probably August.
Whilst making my decent from the Glojo's house, the following appeared on my satnav.
Now as this area is a 20mph zone, and as the bycycle has this device on it, does it make it a speeding offence?
And if it does, obvioulsy I wasn't traveling down that steep bit but I was obviously on the...
