My W211 has a bubble in the leather armrest. Perhaps better described as stretched? Anyone know a way to fix this? Would putting a hairdryer on it help the leather retract?
:o Hello, after a recent winter check of my W203 Sport Coupe (2005 reg) - I was advised by the service department that the thrust arm bushes were cracked and would probably need replacing. To be fair, the service manager said he had seen worse and it was not immediate, but they would deteriorate.He...
Having owned loads of oldish cars with distributor caps and rotor arms over the years, I was rather alarmed to find that ECP were quoting £28 for a rotor arm for my w201.
I've always paid about £3.50 in the past for rotor arms so a quick check at GSF revealed a price of £4.10. (much more like...

Hi, my W203 C32 AMG needs new upper and lower front suspension arms fitted. 4 hours labour. Am considering DIYing it. How hard a job is this? I've done a fair bit of work before and feel that as long as the bolts aren't seized/don't strip it shouldn't be too difficult. Thoughts? I understand I...
At my last service (start of month) they advised that caster arm bushed NSF and OSF have both split and require replacing. I have now noticed a creaky/knocking noise from front. Could the noise be these?

I need some advice on replacing these.
The o/s/f ball joint is worn and requires renewal of the whole arm. I've removed it and, on inspection, discovered that the inner end is bolted to the chassis through an elongated slot. Is this to allow for adjustment? At the moment to get me mobile...

Sometimes a little knowledge about something can still stuff you up a treat.
Wary of killing myself by using the trolley jack method of removing a front sprint by dropping the inboard end of the control arm to release the stored energy in the spring....I opted to have a local garage do it...
