I think i will change the autobox fluid on both my W124 300D's.
One has a 722415 box and the other a 722435.
What grade of ATF do i need. I have some Dexron II but i think i will need something a little better.

Would like to change the ATF on my 2001 A170 CDI, but cannot find any information (like where is the dip stick etc). Supposedly a sealed for life automatic transmission, but gear changing is occasional jerky.

Right. Spotted this on another forum, to the effect that not only is the FSS going out the window but for the 2006 E320Cdi an ATF change is now a service item at 39,000miles. (62,500km)
