autodipping

This is probably in the manual, but I don't have it with me right now...:fail The rear view mirror and the driver's side mirror both dip / dim, but the passenger side one doesn't? Is this correct / expected? If it should dip / dim and isn't, what's the most likely cause? Many thanks :o
