My wife has had an A200 for a couple of months and finds its stereo sound quality (Audio 20) a little lacking in oomph and bass reproduction.
She's coming from an Audi TT that had a surround sound Bose system.
It's still under warranty, so not sure if we can add/fit/upgrade the speaker system...
Does anyone know if you can order a bass speaker separately for an R129 from Mercedes or do you have to buy the whole thing with the bass and mid range?
If you can only buy the whole assembly then any recommendations for a bass only, rather than a two way, replacement speaker?

Yes I know exhausts have been discussed a thousand times so I apologise to anybody that takes offence.
Right, now that's out the way I'll continue [emoji4]
The E55k sounds great for stock but a bit bass and a few more db's wouldn't go amiss. I don't want to spend a fortune on headers and/or...
Hi,
I bought a new C class( 14 plate w205) about two months ago, used from the dealer. The car came with standard speakers but the sound quality is so poor in terms of bass, my Nissan primera had better bass sound than my new C class. There is a speaker on top of the front dash which...
Right here goes guys/girls, my 05c270 done an install today into the boot, 2 12" subs and obviously the amp.
Now I'm guessing with the boot being a steel box it's self I'm struggling to get the quality of bass into the cockpit
So does anybody have any tips for letting the sound out of the...
Gents, desperately need some advice here. I've changed the h/unit for an aftermarket one and installed component speakers up front. I have now noticed that the factory sub located behind the back seat is useless. What is the best way to get some bass as the sound doesn't cut it. Is it best to...
Hello all, i want to put some good sound in my car but i am conscious that i will not be able to get the bass into the car as its all sealed. Would there be any problems in taking the parcel shelf off or actually cutting some holes in the shelf to allow the bass to flow into the car, whilst not...
I popped this little beauty in my car today, the wiring is temporary :o.

Well, after having ordered it from Ebay and it sitting in the study for 2 months, and a few false starts, I have finally fitted my Blaupunkt Active Subwoofer!.
I first located it in the passenger footwell under the over mat, but " er' indoors" did'nt like her feet touching it, so its now sort...
I went back down to London to visit for the weekend after getting a fuse replaced in my live wire to my amp on Friday, and I came back today (well yesterday) up the M40 in the dark. I didn't have much entertainment as ofcourse, driving takes up most if not all concentration. I had already...
The spec on my W211 E class estate says it has nine speakers. Eight I can see, so I presume the ninth is a bass unit buried somewhere in the dashboard region.
Is it just me, or is the bass produced by this unit (?) on the boomy side? Despite (or maybe because of) being a bass freak I...
I have had an Alpine CDM-9803 Head unit fitted and Cerwin Vega HSD1693's in the rear shelf and the result is a very nice clean crisp sound but no low down balls at all.
Having had many hatchbacks in the past I have never been lacking in bass before so I am a bit at a loss as to where to go...
