bumpers

Hi, I'm currently buying a 1986 500SEL and I'm new to MB (so sorry if this is a daft question!). The bumpers and side trim have been painted and I would like to return them to the correct original colour. Was there a "standard" colour/finish for these parts, or did it depend on bodywork...

I just enquired at my local MB dealer how much it will cost for replacement front and rear bumpers for my c36. I was quite suprised that he quoted £270 (front) £238 (rear) in primer, both +vat. I was expecting much higher!
