I have a bush that needs replacing as it knocks over bumps but goes away for a few days when sprayed with silicon. The problem is Mercedes dont sell them, so what should be a few quid turns out to be £100 because I have to buy the whole bar.
Why on earth have they done this for a part that...
Following on from my other thread on suspension kits, I'd like to replace all the neccesary bushes etc whilst all the suspension is off.
It seems none of the aftermarket polyurethane bush manufacturers do anything for Merc E classes so only option is standard OEM units.
Can anyone give me a...
Had my newly acquired CLS on a ramp in a tyre place today and the fitter pointed out what he thought was a 'missing' bush and bolt. The picture is taken looking forwards with the diff just forward of the crossmember. The screw thread showing is clean and shiny. There was some rear end work done...
Hi,
I am looking at some polyurethane bush for the r129 but nobody does them. When you don't use a car much and its left sitting its a must as the rubber degrades. I used to have a spitfire and the difference was immense. No more crashing and vibrations.
I have looked everywhere for them does...

The offside rear baring bush has gone, knew this when i bought the car. Was told it would cost about £100 to fix.
Just rung Mercedes Southend, to be told just labour is going to cost me just shy of £400! OUCH!
Obviously I wouldn't go to Mercedes to get it sorted. Waiting for call back...

Hi
my w210 E320 CDI feels really clonky lately over rough roads, I have changed both ball joints, link rods and anti roll bar bushes and am getting really bad inner tyre wear, I have increased tyre pressure to 34psi front and 37 rear and that feels better.
My question really is can both bushes...
I have a really bad squeak from the rear.
I have been told that its the bush lower arm got to remove the hub to get to it?
Is that right and how much should it cost. Also is it a DIY job.
had a spare half hour, the car was on the ramp, thought I'd be smart and see to the slight leak from the pilot bush.
managed to get the plastic core misaligned as I reinserted it and bent one of the pins when tightening the centre screw. Didn't notice, took a while to figure out why it wouldn't...

MB dealer identified a problem with the Autogearbox Pilot Bush at the service on my wife's car recently and quoted £75 to fix it. We've taken it in today and they are now saying that the Pilot bush is jammed and want £396 to replace the electronics pack (whatever that is!)
I understand that...
