It's as though the surface layer of the buttons has become tacky and sticky to the touch. All the other switches in the car are OK. Has anyone experienced this problem and how did they get rid of the stickiness?

The buttons are pealing. I have tried nail narnish remover and it worked but when removing the excess i wiped out the + sign on the volume control. :doh: I need a new set.. Left and right. Does anyone know where i can source one? This is what i am talking about.
