I have temporarily inherited a W124 E220 cabrio. 1 owner on a P plate with 70,000 miles. Nice car but needs some TLC. I've installed Audio10 Cd on it (No comand) but one thing niggles me. The aerial. Does it or is it supposed to retract all the way down or should there be about 1.5" of it...
Looking on ebay for CLK cabrio's and came across this one. What a novel idea to fill a hole on your centre console...
And it's not just something they've left in there, it is even written in the ad, how bizarre!
Hi all,
I ran over a mini roundabout a bit briskly today in my CE220 cabrio today and the rear tombstone headrests deployed. I've been reading the thread about the similar CLK problem and wondered if anyone knew how to reset the W124 headrests? My local specialist ( Eddie at Mercare, Plymouth)...
Just took some new pics of my cabrio with a beautiful back drop of London skyline from NW London.
But the pics look like they were taken in the 1970's  - just spent £800 on a camera.. not worth a penny lol
link is...
My wife is nagging me for a cabrio, and we have settled on a CLK Cab Sport as there are some cracking deals to be had at the mo, because the car is about to be replaced. I got her up from a Mini!
Any owners got any thoughts?
Simon

Preference given to anything north west based but will travel for right car.
Cheers

Hello
hope you all are well??
I am a strong enthusiast for the w124 CABRIOLET.
I am in a Dilema..
The w124 Convertible sportline models were available before the facelift and also after the facelift.
If there was a choice between a 1993 pre facelift 320ce sportline with 25k miles on clock...
The return spring does not retract the front seat belts fully and I end up pushing it back manually.
Are the springs adjustable and if so then how is it done? If not then I assume I will need new springs and will this be covered by Service Plus?
Looks like it's done a Blues Brothers , sliding along on its roof ...

I recently bought a good condition '94 Sportline Cabrio with 116k miles and good history etc. I paid just short of £10k for it which seems OK as there are many being advertised for more than this and it is tipped as a good investment.
However I wasn't following prices over the last year or...
