cap or

Just had some tires changed today and the front left wheel as a teeny wobbly feeling. We tried to take out the bearing cap/ hub to look at it but no luck, it didn't move. Before taking the hammer and bash it to move it out of the way, is there an easiest way to do it? Cheers. Olivier
