In cleaning the centre console air vents a bit too vigorously I've poked the flaps into the vent. :doh: (see pic). Can anyone tell me where the clips to remove the cover are? Or does anyone have a W203 console diagram that might help?

Are there any other 212 Sport owners who've had problems with the spring mechanism on the centre console/ash tray cover? I think mine is a bit gunked up with crap and want to remove it to clean and lubricate it. Any ideas how to do this? Hoping its not a dealer/dashboard out job to do.
