Hi There.
Thanks for all the help you've given me over the past few days. Filters are all changed and the car is still coughing.
Does anyone have any more suggestions for me?
Symptoms:
Above 60mph the car coughs and stutters and has a significant loss of power. Possibly due to a couple...
I'm looking around now (and have been for some time!) to replace my crappy MB tape player. It's only single DIN though and the whole fascia in the centre of the dash would need changed, as well as removing the cubby hole above the ashtray.
Whats the score with getting a double DIN fascia please?
Went today to my local MB dealer to buy 1L Mobil1 5w-40 fully synth oil and was told : " we don-t do it anymore due to recent technical faults. We use now Shell oil "
That doesn`t sound right to me ... Why did say that !? Im not a mechanic and even refuse to know about these things BUT "...
A few months back I had a bad puncture and ran on the rim of the alloy.
I don't gamble with wheels and tyre's so I got a new alloy from Nick Mercedes at Euromerc.
My Original alloys were put to shame by the new one from Nick so the search began to find a wheel refurbisher who could replicate...

Hi guys.

My front windscreen is a nightmare for clearing. If i put my hand over where it's supposed to come out for the windscreen there's nothing there!!

Hi All,
I recently aquired one of these with 86k on it and a very clean example. Unfortunately I have ended up spending on it none stop and now can't solve one problem.
Firslty, the car wouldn't rev above 3000. I overhauled the intake manifold, cleaned up the flaps and egr while I was at it...
Just a question....
but like, we talk about the high quality of yesteryear and we talk about how the new cars are high quality..
but what is high quality today? the fact it feels soft and spongy? the fact it has design flair? the fact the screws stay in place for longer?
I dunno, but...
I posted a ...er..post regarding my c200 and the general(and much appreciated) opinion was change the MAF so today (I had to save up) I bought a new probe and fitted it...well it has made a difference! the car does pick up and go like it is receiving fuel, if you hit the throttle it hesitates...
Hi all,
My 1990 W124 has been blowing only hot air from the heater for the last couple of months. I recently bought a secondhand Duovalve from a Merc parts specialist on Ebay, which was said to be working.
I changed the valve today and its still only blowing hot air. Hot water is going past...

As part of the changes taking place to my black E as part of the Renntech upgrade, following the Renntech exhaust fitment a fortnight ago, i decided the wheels needed a change too.
My first choice since i bought this car in 2005 was 17" Aero I's, w126 specific (as w124 Aero I's do not...
@ MB Glasgow.
They charged me £185 for this inc Labour (90mins) and the car feels smoother through its gears, particularly from 3-4 and 4-5 with the changes being imperceptibly smooth. They got the car ready for me quickly as I was off to Stirling to meet a pal for a bash on the driving range...
Windows XP, Firefox.
I installed BitZipper to try to open a compressed file (didn't work, file damaged) & it has changed my Home page to http://search.conduit.com/?ctid=CT1304867&SearchSource=13. I've since deleted BitZipper & BitZipper toolbar. When that didn't work I re-installed it & deleted...
I had the standard 16" Elegance wheels on my 99 facelift E320 with 215/55/16 tyres all round.
It was very wallowy and the back end would slide out if going round a damp roundabout a little too quickly, in fact unless you slowed down to silly levels.
Anyway, the plan was to change the...
After a big HooHa over the past month or so with my local dealer trying to get my claim put through.
She has just informed that MB head office have told her that it's only cars after 2000 which are protected by the rust warranty.
She argued on my behalf with them saying it states 30 years from...

I have spent the last few hours changing the glow plugs on my E300 TD estate. I have heard some horror stories about ackwardly positioned nuts and broken glow plugs. Well I would deffo recommend either having access to a ramp or a pit (I used a pit) unless you want to be a contorsionist lying on...
