i trial fitted some Kerscher carmona 16" wheels to my 500SEC and they clear the calipers by a mere 3-4 millimeters. it looks like there is a bit of material on the calipers which i could file down but what is the minimum clearance you can reasonably run between calipers and rims? Hi, In looking at my SL the body seems (to me at least) to be very well clear of the top of the tyres. It is almost as if the body has been raised using the suspension setting. Is there a specific/recommended ground clearance on this car - and does anyone know what it is/how to check it...
