Hi all, Had my engine control unit fail on 1999 18,000ml CLK230K last week. Symptoms were just a 'clicking' noise from starter when trying to start engine. Local garage replaced battery and starter motor without success before I took car to MB dealer who couldn't find any comms from ECU...

I'm going to sell both my cars. E55 AMG, 1998 (S) 68,000 miles, fmbsh, no faults, upgraded cylinder heads and cams, chipped, green cotton filters, centre exhaust box removed, 2 new tyres (F1's) on front, Audio 30. £ make me an offer. CLK230K Convertable, 1999 (to go back on V plate)...

Guys, Quick question.... Going to do a service on my CLK this weekend.... In my rush to get to work this morning I forgot to pick up my handbook / servicebook!! What oil does MB recommend for a 99 CLK230K? I seem to recall 10/40? also how much do I need? Cheers in advance :)

Here's a particularly cheap CLK ... it's done 167k miles, currently at £6200, BIN £6900. I know it's high mileage, but that strikes me as being quite cheap ...

A friends has seen a Clk230K cabriolet for sale, its a V reg facelift with tiptronic box. Ive had more than a few mercs but never had anything with such high milage (except the w124-170k, buts they might as well be another brand of car), any major problems to check for? And how much life is...

Hi, Could anyone help a new MB owner? The Bulbs apear to have gone that light up the heater controls, does anyone know a ''How To'' to replace these? Is it just a simple case of popping the surround off with a screwdriver? scared im gonna hurt my new toy! P.s Great website! Find myself...

Hi, Does anyone know if a 98 CLK230k has a cambelt? if so what mileage should it be replaced? can seem to find any evidence of it in the service book, am i just being stupid? Also where could i get a cheap replacement remote key? Thanks very much Marvy G :bannana:
