I'm not sure I have it or not. In my W204 under the COMAND menu "Audio" I have Radio, then DAB. When I go to DAB i get "No reception" displayed on the screen. The manual doesnt say much about it. I had assumed the DAB option was displayed whether or not you actually have it. Now Im not so sure...
Anybody had DAB in their motor, and if so what type of aerial did you use? Three options I'm looking at are:
Internal, Stick on the window jobbie.
External, probably glass mounted to remove the risk of any leaks.
Aerial Splitter, to use existing aerial

Roberts radio produces a DAB radio suitable for listening via an iPod.
It occurred to me that this device might be suitable for connecting to the UMI, so that DAB could be received via Comand (and would be considerably cheaper than the Mercedes DAB add-on).
So, has anyone with a UMI on...
My 209 CLK 2002 has factory fitted Comand & Telephone.
Is the Autoleads DAB Splitter 06-536 FIT / SUITABLE for the job?
Will I need a DAB aerial lead or adapter?
Where best to 'insert' the splitter into the FM aerial lead?
How do I get the Comand head unit out?
Any other comments.

According to my Audio 20 booklet (pg 27), it supports DAB reception. The entry is marked with a * indicating it's an option. My question is this, is it just a case of enabling that function using an MB diagnostic tool or is additional kit required (eg DAB antenna). Cost indications appreciated...
I'm about to fit a Revo DAB adaptor to a Mercedes C-Class W203 2003 model.
The car uses the rear windscreen for its radio aerial. Has ayone used a splitter to supply the DAB feed - if so what has been their experience. This is my preferred solution as it keeps the car "clean".
The car wil be...

Can an option code 537 DAB radio be fitted to a 2007 W221 S500L that was built without it? If so, what are the likely costs? Clearly the DAB radio is RRP 320 inc VAT as an option, but is the price of the option equipment and what are likely labour costs?
Hi,
I am going to buy a B Class with COMAND APS, and was wondering whether anyone knew if it will be possible to add DAB radio functionality to this? I notice that the new C Class saloon has an optional DAB radio module for its COMAND system, made by Delphi?
Bestest,
Tom
Hi, I have been looking into adding a DAB receiver to my Comand. Two units seem to be available under £100. The REVO and the ICS100. Both have FM modulated outputs plus audio which would plug into the AUX connector. The ICS100 also has a switched AUX in which I could continue to use for my IPOD...
Hi
I'm thinking of fitting Digital Radio in my car (i have already fitted proper BMW Digital TV so i can watch "price drop tv" in the car lol.
anyway; apparently a digital radio bmw DAB system is too complicated to retrofit on these cars; so my only option is an aftermarket jobbie....

Looking for some advice.
Presently in my '98 W202 estate I've got a Sony radiogram in the car with a 6 stack CD thingumy in the boot. I'm not entirely satisfied with this as (a) I never remember to change the CD's in the boot and consequently am fed up with what I have in there at the moment...
It is time for a new radio in the car, and Halfords are doing a JVC DAB radio that also plays mp3 CD-R for £200.
Is DAB actually worth it in the car? I don't mean from a content point of view, more from the practicalities of it. What's it like in city centres, what's it like on motorways...
I'll be needing an ariel for my DAB radio, and a GPS ariel wouldn't hurt either. I'm just wondering if there is a single antenna that would kill two birds with one stone? Would also be handy to have a GRPS antenna for a mobile phone in it too... I know im asking too much!
after a chat with the bods at blaupunkt, they suggested that I would get much much better reception by using a 'real/ aerial instead of my through glass version - considering that a) it goes through 2 layers of glass, plus the 'heat reflecting' element of it disturbs the signal and c) its too...
