designation

Seen a 'new' C Class recently with the model designation on the back in Black and not the standard Chrome. Assume this would have to be done professionally?

Hi. I have a 2001, CLK 320 Cabriolet, the owners manual is not clear on where the fuses are (imho) has anyone got a definative drawing of their names and locations?

I'm very new to Mercedes driving, and although I've done a quick search, I can't find a list explaining the Mercedes system of model designation. Does one exist? For instance, I drive a C220 saloon, is this W204? Many of the posts on here use a W number, and I'd love to be able to picture...

Saw a "SL550" in Texas a few weeks back. Assumed someone had been playing silly buggers with badges, but then saw several other 550-designated MBs over there as well. Assume this is really a 500 SL but with "Americanised" notation? K

Sorry if this is a dimwitted post (most of mine are) but I see so many ads for the W123 coupe with a W at the end of the model designation ie: 230 cew What's that about?

What are peoples thoughts on omitting the model designation on a new Mercedes? i have ordered a new E Class and wanted to know if there were any pros/cons.

Does anyone have a chart or something that identifies the fuses in their respective locations on the W220 ? Thank you.
