We Built the car.... We are driving round europe... now we need your help?
have a look at the dog car .... http://www.justgiving.com/dogcar
Were doing a banger rally across europe driving from the Uk to Almeria in the south of Spain. 2500 miles in just 4 days.
Sounds easy?
Not when limited...
Some of you know that the rear compartment of our Vito is fitted with caging for the dogs:
Just had a call from the dealer to say that they are going to have to remove it all, in order to do a 5-minute warranty repair! A union on the pipe to the rear screen washer jets has come undone ...
I'm used to the pull up net type dog guards from the E Class estates, but this is not standard on the W164 ML.
That’s been fine for the last few months but our Border Terrorist has now discovered the view is better from the front seat:(
I can only find rigid type guards in the accessory...
I had a spin in one today and it felt really slow, in general are they?
As a yard stick it felt about as fast as the 95 w124 220 that I also drove recently.

Have already spent a small fortune with my local MB dealer this month, so would appreciate any leads on where I can get a load cover with integral dog guard (black).

Ok - slightly bizarre for an MB forum - but I am having a clear out and have three dog crates for sale. One is about 31" the other two 36". One of the larger ones is black wire with two doors, the other two are gold galvanised finish.
PM me for more details of interested.
I've replied to a few threads about problems with idle etc well basically the following is what i am experiencing right now and believe me it stinks!
First off the car is a W202 96 elegance 5spd auto with 117k on the clock, I'm the seond owner of the car after purchasing it about 3 1/2 yrs...
Have just been quoted 400+ by MB to replace a dog/luggage cover "cassette"
thats about 30% of the value of the W124 !
Does anybody know how to retension these things or
even better who the original makers were?
thanks
Steve
