There is a buzzing sound coming from under the driver's side dash just to the left of the steering column. The buzzing ceases when the hazard lights and turn signals are engaged. The dash instruments have also bid goodbye. A fuse and a turn signal relay problem? I'm not certain where to look...

I have managed to source a new brush pack for my alternator; at 210k miles they have to be pretty worn out :)

the only thing that can let the E300D down is the lack of a turbo.
has anyone on here heard of anyone fitting one - the LHD models did have turbos but they didnt fit them to RHD models because of the steering box i believe getting in the way.
are there any turbo specialists anyone...
I noticed today that the two sections of the linkage (in the photo below) are not being held together - the two rivet things that hold the sections together are allowing the two sections to move independently - is this correct or has something worn out?

My E300d W210 1996 non turbo with no MAF has recently become reluctant to rev above 3000rpm.
Performance up to 3000rpm seems to be normal, I also noticed slight flaring on the lower gear changes. Any suggestions?
