Maybe you already know this but I was surprised to find out. In the latest version of Google Earth you can turn the clock back to December 1999. Click on the clock symbol on the toolbar and adjust the datebar - if it won't go back further than 2006 then zoom out and try again. Pretty nifty...

Not a lecture on how to do it etc BUT how do you pay for it ? A lot of people spend thousands a month on adwords and it adds up - if you get invoiced then your losing out its better to pay with a personal reward credit card and pay it off monthly and get repayment from the company Google...
