Got the grill surround and insert back from the body shop today, all colour coded to the car... (and number plate infill I got from billy (thanks)) I do however need to reattach the rubber strip that sits between the grill and bonnet and woundered if I can buy a new one from mb or is the part...

I have just fitted the new style grill on my SL350 and it looks great,well worth the money to totally change the front end look.Also got £60 on e bay for the old grill and only took 3 days to sell it,so I am pretty pleased.:bannana:

Hi all just fitted an upgraded front grill on my 2003 SL350 it is the new style grill from 2009 onwards,got it on e bay ,fitted in 5 minutes and totally makes the front superb,it is all chrome with the huge star in the centre.

Just had a look at a ML63 front grill, and the mesh that surrounds the star it is a mesh, while on my ML the mesh has a backing on it. I presume that is to get more air into the radiator on the AMG Any other reasons anyone can think of?

Hello, looked at front of my 55 CLK today and noticed the shiny star in the grill has been nicked. Looks as if the star mounts onto the black circle left there with retaining lugs, guess it just snaps in place. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement other than dealer? Had a look on ebay...

Bought a "new" grill for my E class of fleabay and met a very nice bloke half way this morning. Including the bonnet badge £60:00. Unfortunately is been painted silver... Stripped off the chrome bits, keyed up and primed ready for the finished paint tomorrow. See if I can put it all back...
