S212 heated seats seem to take an age to get warm. Like maybe two miles down the road before you feel the benefit on your bum, by which time the heater is working and there doesn't seem much point.
Is this normal please?
The heated mirrors on my 04 plate ML switch on automatically via sensors which decide exterior temperature. However my heaters are now on all the time despite external temperatures of 20deg +. They do not time out and switch off. Anyone got any ideas please ??
My car is a W203 C-class Estate (270 CDI Elegance SE). As part of its equipment, it has heated door mirrors. Now, my passenger side mirror seems to work in that it will demist in misty conditions, but the driver's side didn't work. So, I duly ordered a new mirror glass including the heating...
Hello, I'm pretty new on here so forgive me. Just buying a nice E320 cabrio, but doesn't have heated seats. I was hoping to source from a main dealer the heating pads to go under the leather, but am being told not available as stitched into leather. Anybody know if that is right and if not the...
Went out very early this morning, and after leaving my garage the windows and mirrors misted up due to the colder outside temperature, the windows cleared quite quickly but the mirrors stayed misty, they felt cold to the touch and I'm sure there is no heat to them, my old BMW cleared almost...
Hello everyone
I am new to this forum, but I have so many question I don't even know where to start.
Well I bought an ML 270 Cdi for my missus and soon as I drove off the next day the coolant light came on with loss of power, and a strange louder hum, what sounds like a hole on the exhaust...
Common problem in these cars I believe, but the heated drivers seat in my SL does not heat up the seat pad, only the back.
I believe the heater element will be knackered and it is in the seat pad (which I presume means the leather you sit on).
If so what is the likely cost of replacement...
I purchased this genuine loom and switch pack for my W211 but have since sold the car and the seats. Would somebody like to make me a sensible offer before they go on eBay? Thanks
Hey Folks,
I wonder if anyone can help here with info...
So ive noticed smooth patches on the left hand back support of the driver's seat (W204).
The car was in for a service today and the garage has actually admitted that the damage to the leather has been caused by the heated seat...
Can someone advise please.
Autoglass fitted a new front windscreen to my 2012 E250 CDI sport today as the other one had a bit of a crack in it.
When the fitter showed me the new screen I noticed that running along the whole length of the bottom of the screen within the black shaded area was...
Just bought my first SL and the drivers side seat bottom heating isn't working (back is fine). Does anyone have experience of fixing this?
Thanks, Andrew
I have just bought a C-class, W202. Its a 2000 model. I've figured out all of the switches, except one. I'm 95% sure its a heated seats switch, but it has an "OFF" label on the top left, and the light lights up when switched, I guess, Off.
Does this mean the heated seats are on by default...
Recently noticed that the top three bars on my rear window don't clear when the demisters on. Is this an easy fix? I have a tier 1 warranty, would this be covered?

I have a 2010 W212 with leather heated seats. Obviously I've been using them a lot lately, and have noticed that the drivers side seat base isn't heating, although the back rest is pumping it out. Do I have a loose connection somewhere? Has a fuse blown? Is there something more serious...
Hi All,
As the title suggests, does the 1994 SL500 have Heated Wing Mirrors?
I don't have a hard top so never use the rear demist button, however was wondering if the wing mirrors were heated or not and, if so, does the rear screen demist button activate them too (as it does on other...
Does anyone know if the RHD passenger side exterior mirror is heated, if so, does it have a fuse (can't find one on the fuse layout diagram) the drivers side works. Also how do you fix it, is it a heated bit behind the mirror, is it easy to get to, do you have to take the door apart?
Many thanks...
