    Hyper inflation

    On the 31st March 1941 the exchange rate meant that 5.06 Hungarian Pengos were worth $1 US. By the 31st July 1946 all the Pengo currency in circulation was worth 1000th of 1 US cent, or 4.6 x 10 to the power of 29 per $1 US. The worst inflation rate the world has ever known.
