I found a loose bit of plastic in the back of my 211 E class estate and would like to put it back where it belongs - alas, I have no clue other than the part number moulded into it - 211 619 17 38
A quick Google throws up the part in one of two places - Front floor assembly or rear floor...

I tried cruise couple times unsuccessfully and decided its too complicated so prolly not bother - noticed it was lit up yesterday when I was drving manually - driving down the mway today and switched it on where on it promptly started to slow down which was very unerving in traffic - same again...
Came across this as a follow up on another forum. Wonder if anyone has come across this phenomenon?

This component is on the LH bank (n/s) of my 1991 500SL (R129). It seems to have an electrical connection and a thin vacuum pipe going to the underside. As you can see, it sits above the injectors on that side. The black 'knob' or blank rotates but doesn't appear to do anything. There is a...
I find myself searching around for meanings of the various terms that those in the know use regularly. (those in the know=everyone except me, normally)
Would it be useful to have a Sticky or a Reference section where these things could be accessed?
For example, chassis/model codes, engine...
Thinking of perhaps another visit to the Squirrel Inn, in Battle.
I'd really prefer to have my decent, lighter wheels on for the drive... but they gritted the roads the night before last and it's not going to rain for a while now - so there will still be salt all over the place.

I was with dad in his E-Class coupe on the motorway earlier and heard a loud bang/ pop.
Nothing seemed to have hit the windscreen. It was strange.
When we got to our destination, I had a look over the car and noticed this!!
Front section of the roof seemed to have shattered!
Not sure if a...

Hi all,
I'm interested in hearing your experiences on mercedes coupes as they get older, C Class coupe and the CLK coupe.
My story is I've been driving an Alfa romeo GT for a while and while it's gorgeous little car and drives well, it's great inside with full leather and bose sound etc...
Guys i have got this notion of buying a 10 year old 2003 s-class 320cdi, my budget wont allow anything newer. Anyway do these cars require a lot of attention and things replaced as they get to this age. Im good at mechanics and dont mind doing fixes to my car, im just a bit reluctant due to the...
OK I understand how wheel offsets work etc. so if I have a wheel with an offset of ET44 that goes on a car that needs an offset of 32 I need a 12mm spacer to get the ET44 wheel offset correctly.
Now that all makes sense mathematically and I know I would need hubcentric spacers etc. but assuming...
Saw this on the M3 today and tried my paparazzi best to get some spy shots and to be honest failed quite miserably.
There were 2 being tested and i spotted them near the Guildford slip road.
