illumination

Hi, just a quick question. Should the headlight / sidelight / foglight rotary switch be illuminated on the S Class W140? Mine does not appear to be lit and I just want to check before I strip down that part of the dash looking for a bulb that may not exist. Thanks.

When the auto light sensor kicks in it dims my switch illumination way too much and makes it difficult to see unless it is pitch black. Anyone know of a way of adjusting this maybe in the Star setup? I have of course turned the dimmer up to full (several times) and it is still way too dim...

Passenger illuminated mirror only lights up on one side , other side dark - presumably bulb. Driver mirror both sides light up. Can one change bulb? Dr Richard Williamson
