impedance

I've read so much my head is spinning! I'm a spannerman, not a sparks :wallbash: Does anybody know, are the standard door speakers on a 1994 R129 4 ohm, or 1 ohm, impedance? I gather it matters when fitting a head unit, but it's all Greek to me...

I think I have a blown subwoofer speaker in my C32, and a merc bose replacement seems to be illusive. For now, I'll try just a simple replacement 130mm speaker, and check it is actually being driven. Anyone know what the impedance is? I don't want to in turn draw too much current and blow the...
