My 17 yo daughter has just got her provisional licence, having got a quote for her on my old E240 of heaps, I thought that my wifes Ford Focus would be better, but she still ramps her premium from £390 to £2200 !!!!!! Anyone know of any company at all that doesn't want the keys to my house...

My daughter is approaching 17 so we're looking for a car for her to learn on. Must be cheap to insure, so something like a Nissan Micra, Corsa, Polo, Pug 106, Daewoo Matiz, 2CV or similar. Probably in the price range £100 to £1000 but I might be persuaded to spend more for something interesting...
