lubing

Did door mirrors today with silicone lubricant spray. Just the ticket :) Then I looked at the Pano roof rails... Gave them a clean with a microfibre cloth and sprayed them with the same spray. Now wondering if I should have used grease, not spray. All works and sounds fine, but can anyone tell...

On different sites I read that that the elements of a SLK roof has to be lubed by: Metal on metal (M/M): by lithium grease Metal on rubber (M/R): by silicon grease Rubber on rubber (R/R): Krytox Mercedes is recommending its own roof lube... “Sliding compound lubrification oil”... Part no: A 000...
