Lo there all,
In my haste to get my center console lid open I seem to have broken off one of the locking mechanism clips - can anyone advise me how to fix it?
The car, SL500 (R230). The console has two compartments, the top one for the phone and were the clip is broken from.
Sorry the pic...
W202 Complete Wiper Mechanism & Motor
Recently purchased by myself as my wiper motor had died, but this is the earlier 5-pin block connector where as my can uses the later 4-pin in line connector so I cannot use it :(

Hi
I need a new windscreen wiper mechanism, ie wiper arm+ motor for a W202....must have the blue plug as opposed to the black plug that fitted earlier W202's.
The plug in question is the plug on the end of the main electrical lead where it joins up to the connector in the fuse box.
Cheers
The rear wiper on my '94 E220 W124 estate has gone loose in the last few weeks. I can see the motor turning the metal post that the wiper mechanism attaches to but the wiper itself doesn't move in sync with the post, it'll start to sweep, stop halfway or so at which point it seems to lose "grip"...
Think its time I greased up the wiper mechanism on my W202 as the other day it was really sluggish at the 12 o clock position.
Seems to have been ok since but probably best I grease the mechanism?
So which product do I use?
Is thisHalfords | Comma Multi Purpose Grease 500G ok?
The drivers door on my 100k mile 300D needs more effort to close than the others, I take it this is due to wear. Is there a degree of adjustment available so I don't need to close it with such assertive action?
Years ago i'd an old c-class and i remember having to remove the panel of the wiper mechanism (single wiper) and grease it heavily ---it was known that it could pack in with an expensive repair bill --and the greasing was the cure
Just wondering if this is still reccomended/necessary with my...
not sure where to post this, so sorry if it in wrong place.
my friends r129 has a problem with the passenger window not raising square, and becoming stuck before it is fully closed.
having removed the door pannel, it canbe seen that it has developed a loose window motor on the passenger...
O/S/F seat base mechanism wanted.
The part i require is situated under the drivers seat at the front on the left hand side. The motor screws into it ( 2 screws ) and the mechanism lifts the front of the seat base ( front height adjustment )
Does anyone know how the close assist mechanism actually works on the W140 1998 model?
I've been having issues with the pump, it was pretty iffy but I only ever use the drivers door and I just have to remember I have to give it a bit of a slam.
But I had to use the boot yesterday quite a bit...
Hi can anyone tell me what is the best grease, oil or other lubricant to do the hood mechanism on my 500 SL. All the joints look a bit dry !
Cheers
Steve
If by any chance, anyone has a driver's door mirror frame for a pre facelift 210, please let me know.
If you have the motors etc, that would be good too.
But my car has the memory seats (therefore mirrors have memory too) and also have electric folding mirrors.
Thanks.
My driver's...
Hi there
I'm after a wiper mechanism for a W202.
The specific bit I want is this bit (pictured) though I'll take a complete mechanism.
I'm not bothered if the cam mechanism doesn't work (ie: cog loose on the shaft) as long as no-one has already tried to fix it by drilling the cog...
Hey all

Little help? Would have bought Haynes manual but they dont cover 6 cylinder versions..
Hello, one of the rear selt belts in my 220 CE has jammed, won't unroll at all, I though the mechanism might be accessible from the boot but I couldn't find it, is it in the rear pillar or something?
Hi guy's,
Here's my first post! Does any one know how easy it is to replace the Wiper mechanism on my T202? The wiper keeps getting stuck against the side of the wind screen, I've tried to grease the mechanism but to no avail.
When I asked the stealership in Nottingham they said you can...
