Hi there, i have some serious rust developing around the top shock mounts on my 73 280 coupe, well more like big holes and rot!
Does anyone know of any suppliers for repair panels or new wings and has anyone had any experience in replacing these? Thanks
Does anyone know where to get these from to fit a 1990 420SEL - the Mercedes part number for the repair kit is 1263503408- but they are silly money from Mercedes themselves. Meyle make an aftermarket part (Lemforder used to but I believe they no longer produce them).

Hi There, first post here... Am from Singapore and recently tried to order new engine mounts for my wagon. EPC revealed 124 240 19 17 as the appropriate part number. However, part stockists here suggests 124 240 17 17 is interchangeable... :dk:

I will be changing my engine mounts sometime this weekend, just wanted to see if any one had any tips they could offer me. I have read parrot of doom's tutorial on how to change the mounts on a W210 and it looks similar.
I will be using an engine lift to support and lift the engine...
I am going to replace the diff, will it be wise to changed the mounts as well, or they should be fine?
Is it hard to do it, or a nightmare like some other bushers?
There are 2 at the back and 1 up I think ???

I think its time i did the engine mounts as i can feel some movement in the engine and gearbox, theres also a very noticeable resonance in the cabin at 1500rpm. Original part prefferred.
Also looking for a good condition manual leather\wood gear shifter!

I am in the process of considering upgrading my centre rear lapbelt to a 3 point inertia belt in my W124 estate to make it a true 7 seater.
At the moment I have found a good supplier where I can get the belt, buckle and support bracket...
got new engine mounts today along with new spark plugs and leads fited the plugs and leads in the lashing rain now tomorrow in doing the engine mounts anyone have tips etc on doing them my car is a w202 95
I am not sure how relatively bad it is as i am un-used to diesels but my new w124 E300d multivalve is a little bit shaky at idle which causes a rattle somewhere in the cab.
rather than trying to work out where it is coming from i thought it might be better and better in the long term to change...

Apparently the downpipe needs to be removed along with the steering box moved out of the way, I was just wondering if there is another way, the car is currently at a local German Car specialist.
