Hi all, I'm wondering if special rims & tyres are required to fill nitrogen in tyres of c63. Only reason why i ask is for traction loss purposes otherwise if nitrogen is only suitable for cornering handling the nurb cars then I guess it isn't for this car as its a Pretty much straight line car...
Nitrogen gas filled tyres, anyone done this and taken their car on track, in the quest for more traction, been advised by my local tyre place to do this for my next track day. Must confess to being a little nervous to doing this at such short notice, without experiencing what the changes...

A recent thread on another forum (A2OC) made me think:
Why are we told to test tyre pressures when cold and adjust accordingly, but told to check engine oil level when warm? Is this not the same theory but in reverse?
My point being, this morning it was ~0C. If I adjusted my tyres to 30psi...
Our local tyre place offers "Free Nitrogen Inflation" for all tyres costing over £50.
Just as a matter of interest, what is the advantage, if any, of filling tyres with nitrogen?
