I'm planning a holiday to Scandinavia concentrating on Norway this year and I got to thinking about the co2 aspect. A quick web search for some sample statistics identified one source which said an average tree might absorb around 730kg of co2 over a 100 year life or only 7.3kg of co2 per year...
