Just changed my rear pads on my E280 57 plate. Didn't realise what an easy job this is. Why go to the dealership when one can do it themselves. I'm gonna do the font discs and pads next week as I think that will be a little bit more harder. Anyone else out there done their own?

Hi everyone, I'm going to be changing the rear discs and pads plus front pads on my car this weekend, I know the car has SBC brakes, is there any way to go about working on it as normal and turn off the SBC system while I change my brakes without needing STAR?.

Just had the front pads replaced on my 57 W211 and all works and stops fine. Thing is when I press the peddle and stop the car if I keep my foot on the brake I can push it all the way to the floor. I can't remember if it done it before replacement. Instinct says it shouldn't do it. Thanks
