I understand the difference from the previous post and in reviews of the facelift SLK 350 it is referred to as direct steer. But if you look at the latest MB option list it is still called parameter, so I am now confused as to what is what.

Just looking for some parts for a W210 4 matic. One of the option codes is 'parameter steering' Anyone know what that's about please? Fanks.

My new E210 320 CDi Estate has parameter steering. What exactly is this and is it an advantage over normal power steering? :confused:

Anyone here have any experience of Parameter Steering as available on the latest MB models. It is a £300 option on the W203, and I was wondering whether it is worth it.. What is it? Does the car feel totally different? Did it take long to get used to?
